Happy Tuesday! Well let’s just dive right into today’s page shall we? Today is K and L so naturally…kites and lambs! Ok maybe that’s not the first thing that comes to your mind but it’s what came to mine.
Supplies Needed:
- Felt
- Black
- Pink
- Ribbon (I just 3 colors…you just need scraps)
- Yellow yarn
- White pom poms (I know this wasn’t on the the original supply list…sorry!)
- White page
- Pink yarn
- I and J page
- Letters K and L
Step 1: Cut a diamond shape out of the pink. I made the bottom part of the diamond a little longer so it resembled a kite. Set aside until you’re ready to assemble.
Step 2: From the black felt you will be cutting a head and four legs for the lamb. I really just cut four straight lines and then just kind of made up a head shape.
Step 3: Pull out your white page. Glue down your letters. Glue the kite shape down in the top right corner. Draw where you want the string coming from the kite. Glue down your 3 pieces of ribbon spaced apart (see picture). Using a backstitch and the yellow yarn, stitch down the line you drew, going over the ribbon.
Step 4: Glue down the lamb head and legs. Then glue down the pompoms as the body.
Step 5: Using the pink yarn, stitch this page and the I and J page together like you’ve done with the previous pages.
