Best Chocolate Chip Cookies {recipe}

I’ve decided that on the second Thursday of each month I’m going to share with you one of my favorite recipes. Because what better way to make life prettier than making it more delicious??

I don’t know about you but I like my chocolate chip cookies nice and moist. I’ve used the same recipe since high school, and let me tell you: they have never failed me. These cookies are soft, moist, and gooey. Everything a cookie should be. The recipe yields about 6 dozen, but don’t worry, it can be reduced easily to meet your resolution needs ;).

chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients:

2 c butter flavored Crisco
2 c brown sugar
2 c sugar
4 eggs
4 1/2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350*. Mix Crisco, brown sugar, sugar, and eggs until blended well. Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and vanilla in separate bowl. Add flour mixture to the sugar mixture and blend well. Add chocolate chips. Spoon onto a greased pan. Bake for 9-10 minutes.

These cookies stay moist for quite a few days when stored in an airtight container, but who can make them last that long?

  1. I love your blog, and I wanted to let you know about this new blog I just started called www.linkycandy.com It's one big linky party with tons of options and categories to link up your blog and as many posts as you want! I just launched it last night, and would love for you to be apart of it! Thank you so much! If there is anything I could help you with anytime just let me know! Oh yeah... There is a really cool feature on it too! Each week there will be a featured blogger for each category! The blog with the most clicks gets featured! And each linky party will start over at the beginning of each month, so everyone can get a chance to be the first to link up. Thank you so much!
