Ever since I had my baby I’ve noticed that I am in real want of a new wardrobe (yep, not need, just want). Well I don’t know about you but I don’t have the money to overhaul my wardrobe whenever my heart desires. That’s why I love the idea of clothing refashions and upcycles! It’s so much to fun to take an old piece of garment and breathe new life into it. I’ve done it twice already (upcycling an old button up and turning a t-shirt into a toddler dress) and I have a few more in mind to do. Here are a few tutorials that are leaving my inspired:
1. I love this shrug made from an old t-shirt over at Cut Out + Keep. Plus the tutorial is really easy to follow along and you can see other reader’s versions!
2. Over at Life is {Sew} Daily she turned a $2 turtleneck into a ruffled t-shirt that looks like it came from a high end store!
3. So we moms aren’t the only ones who need an update to our wardrobe every so often. EmmylouBeeDoo! has a great tutorial on turning those too-short onesies into tops!
4. A good pair (or twenty) of shoes is essential to any wardrobe. Condo Blues has a great tutorial on turning some boring white tennies into purple sparkly tennies of awesomeness.
5. I definitely have a pair of flats in desperate need of an update like the one from Urbane Jane. Mod Podge is definitely amazing stuff!
