I am so excited about today’s reveal! I absolutely am in love with how my daughter’s room turned out. Whenever she wants to me to go play with her in her room I don’t mind a bit because a. I get to play with her and b. I can admire how cute her room is!
So are you ready? We might add a few little things here and there but as of now I consider it done! Woohoo!
Here is her bed, including the tulle bed canopy I revealed on Tuesday. I love the colors of the bedspread (from Walmart). The flowers are from Ikea and are actually lights, but we don’t have them plugged in yet. We won’t until we know she’s responsible enough to keep them off when she’s supposed to be going to sleep.
It’s kind of hard to take a picture of the window, so this is the best we got (don’t you love my little model??). The curtains are sheer with sparkly sequins on them. I have to give credit to my husband, because he’s actually the one who picked them up and brought them home as a surprise. And I love them. Yeah he’s pretty awesome. Oh and the dollhouse was actually mine when I was little. So was all the furniture.
When I was pregnant with Mackenzie and we found out we were having a girl, the very first thing I did was run to the craft store and buy these letters. I brought them home and painted them, because I knew even then how I wanted to decorate her room.
Next to her closet you can see the princess mirror I painted for her. On her dresser is a vintage Disney princess lamp (I completely forgot to take closeups of it! Agh!) and all her books, including her ABC quiet book (far left middle shelf line of pink). You can kind of see at the top of her dresser that there are some Disney figurines. For my birthdays when I was younger my sister got me them, and now they are on display in Mackenzie’s room.
And back around. The box with the M is her toy box that my husband built for her and I painted. We’ll be making one for Adalynn for her first birthday so I’ll make sure to include a tutorial. I used my Cricut (Opposites Attract cartridge) to cut the vinyl lettering for her wall. to the far right corner of the toy box is her pile of stuffed animals, but I chose not to include those in the picture.
So what do you think? My daughter is in love and loves to show every single person who comes to our house her room. And I’m ok with that.
